Fatima is on the Board of Deloitte Canada & Chile and Co-Chairs the Finance, Investment and Capital committee. She is a market-driven, high energy and inclusive senior executive who is passionate about building and finding solutions for clients.
In her management role, she is the Lead Global Client Service Partner to companies in Technology and Hospitality. Fatima also leads the Diversity & Inclusion Growth Platform for Deloitte. She brings provocative thought leadership on critical issues such as embedding pragmatism to client business problems.
Fatima has over 30 years of experience in public practice, advising clients across a diverse range of industries. Fatima has worked and lived in three countries and sees herself as a global citizen. She has advised clients around the world including Canada, the United States, Europe, Asia, South America and South Africa.
Over the course of her career, Fatima has held many leadership positions including the following: National Tax Clients and Industry Leader, Global Tax Innovation Leader, National Tax Strategy Leader, South African Practice Leader and the National Global Employer Services and Immigration Leader.
She has vast experience serving multi-national public corporations, small and medium enterprises, and start-ups on matters related to taxation, audit and cross border business issues. As the Global Tax Innovation leader, she has significant experience in bringing innovative solutions to client complex issues in a simplified manner.
She is known in the market for her expertise in Global Mobility & Tax consulting and has written many papers on the topic. She is a sought after speaker in Canada and the global network and is often asked to comment in media publications related to matters of taxation. She has been recognized as one of the Top 10 female Tax partners in Canada for five consecutive years.
Fatima is passionate about business and promoting women and racialized groups in Canada and is a mentor and sponsor to many.
