Panelists:

Richard Moreau is an emergency management, security and defence professional with nearly 40 years’ experience in the military operations and intelligence fields. He has served in army units and formations with operational staffs, commanded and trained troops in and for operational environments including working with public and private sector clients. As the officer in charge of the National Defence Command Centre (NDCC) during the tragic events of Sept. 11, Richard was responsible for generating, maintaining and delivering situational awareness both domestically and internationally for the senior military and civilian leadership of the Department of Defence as well as for the Government of Canada.  Richard joined the Calian family as the director of Emergency Management Solutions in November of 2016.

Dr. Ken Jenkins, MD is the national medical director, occupational health, for Medisys. Dr. Jenkins has more than 35 years of experience in occupational health and safety, specifically in high-risk military and heavy industry environments. During Dr. Jenkins’ 20-year military career, he was the first and only Canadian Forces Medical Officer to be appointed Base Commander. He served as the Canadian Air Force’s chief physician and medical executive, where he developed war zone and disaster medical contingency plans. He also directed medical operations at 11 Canadian Forces bases and acted as a medical advisor for Aeromedical Evacuation and Search & Rescue (SAR). Kris Tierney is the vice-president, HR and learning, at the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) in Ontario. She started her career in hospitality where she held various leadership and management positions. From there, she developed her passion for business and human resources in progressive HR and leadership positions at TD Bank Financial Group and TD Canada Trust, and as an independent Training Consultant. As a member of executive leadership teams, her skills in leadership, strategy, and culture were honed during her tenures at Questrade and Dealer-FX.She has achieved the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designations.
