As 2023 reaches its halfway point, changes to Canadian workplaces continue at a rapid pace. Alongside updates to Canada’s Competition Act criminalizing wage-fixing and no-poaching agreements, Ontario’s Employment Standards Act has also undergone significant amendments that impact employers in Ontario.

Employers continue to deal with the aftershock of the COVID-19 pandemic, with hybrid and mixed-location workforces presenting an array of challenges that did not previously exist.
