Government employees in B.C. told to change passwords following cyberattack at London Drugs
Provincial government employees are being directed to change their passwords in the wake of a cyberattack at London Drugs outlets across Western Canada.
The Office of the Chief Information Officer confirmed the urgent password change requests began rolling out government-wide shortly after dozens of London Drugs locations shut down due to a cyberattack.
The information officer’s office says in a statement as a security precaution password length has increased from 10 to 14 characters.
London Drugs says it has started a gradual re-opening of its stores. (CTV Vancouver)
