Kristen Winter named EVP, programs people and leadership at Sunnybrook

Kristen Winter has been appointed as the executive vice-president, programs, people and leadership at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.

Winter is an accomplished healthcare executive with a strong track record of success, it said in announcing the news on LinkedIn.

“Since she joined Sunnybrook in 2018, Kristen has progressively taken on additional levels of responsibility and leadership and especially during the pandemic,” it said. “Kristen is a Certified Human Resource Executive (CHRE) and was named as one of Canada’s Top 25 HR Professionals.”

In addition to her work at Sunnybrook, Kristen has also led the Toronto Academic Health Sciences Network Human Resource Committee as well as co-chairing the federal committee on Health Human Resources for HealthCareCAN.

During the pandemic Winter took on a number of regional and provincial roles as the Human Resource lead and continues to lead a number of initiatives aimed at addressing provincial HHR challenges.
