Steve Coco named global HR and compensation consulting managing director at Gallagher

Steve Coco has been appointed as the global human resources and compensation consulting managing director of Gallagher’s Employee Benefits and Consulting Division. The appointment is effective Jan. 1, 2024.

Coco joined Gallagher earlier this year through its acquisition of Buck in April 2023.

Currently serving as the chief revenue officer at Buck, Coco oversees various facets of the business, including revenue growth, account management, marketing, client strategy, and innovation. He aims to tailor Buck’s services to meet clients’ unique needs and to foster both organizational performance and employee satisfaction, according to a press release issued by Gallagher.

The HR & Compensation Consulting business line at Gallagher specializes in a diverse range of services, such as total rewards, human resource strategy, workforce engagement, executive search, and data analytics. The division aims to assist employers in optimizing organizational wellbeing through the recruitment of top talent, fostering employee engagement, and facilitating leadership development.

In conjunction with Coco’s appointment, Scott Hamilton, the current global managing director of HR and compensation consulting at Gallagher, will transition to the role of chair of the business line. In his new capacity, Hamilton will focus on growth strategies, labor force trends, and mergers and acquisitions.
